Space-Efficient Curved Belt Conveyor Solutions for Industrial Material Handling
Skytech Ultrafab Curve Conveyor Belts enable material transport systems to change direction through curves of 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, and 180° within the production floor plan — eliminating the need for transfer points, reducing product damage, and allowing compact system layouts in pharmaceutical, food processing, logistics, and manufacturing facilities. Each belt is engineered to the specific curve radius, belt width, and surface requirement of the installation, using food-grade PVC, polyurethane, or fabric constructions.
What Is a Curve Conveyor Belt?
A Curve Conveyor Belt is a specially engineered belt designed to travel around a horizontal curve in a conveyor system. Unlike straight belts, curve belts must be tapered or profiled to travel smoothly around the bend without tracking off the edges of the curved conveyor frame. The outer edge of the belt must travel further than the inner edge in each revolution, requiring a trapezoidal or wedge cross-section that compensates for the difference in path length across the belt width.
Curve Conveyor Belts
Features and Benefits
-
Custom Curve Radius:
Fabricated for any curve angle from 30° to 180° and any curve radius — system designed to the available floor space and material handling requirement
-
Food-Grade Surfaces:
PVC and polyurethane belt surfaces in white food-grade grades compliant with EU 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR for direct food-contact conveyor applications
-
Non-Slip Surface Options:
Smooth, rough-top, and diamond-pattern surface textures available for conveying products on inclines around curves without sliding or product damage
-
Fabric and Rubber Construction:
Polyester fabric carcass with PVC, PU, or rubber covers — tensile strength and elongation specified for the curve radius and load requirement
-
Antistatic Grade:
ESD-compliant belt surface for electronics assembly and pharmaceutical powder conveying where static charge accumulation on the belt must be controlled
-
Cleated Options:
Transverse cleats moulded onto the belt surface for conveying products on steep curves where plain belts would allow product to slide inward toward the curve centre
