What Are Disc Filter Bags?
Disc filter bags are circular or annular filter media elements that mount on the disc frames of horizontal disc pressure filters or vertical disc vacuum filters. Slurry is pumped into the filter vessel, and liquid passes through the disc bags while solids accumulate as a filter cake on the bag surface. At the end of the cycle, the cake is discharged by back-blowing or mechanical vibration of the disc assembly.
