PTFE Filter Bags for the Most Chemically Aggressive Dust Collection
Skytech Ultrafab PTFE (Teflon) Filter Bags offer unmatched resistance to virtually all acids, alkalis, solvents, and oxidising agents — combined with a continuous service temperature of 260°C. The non-stick PTFE surface minimises dust adhesion, enabling clean and efficient pulse-jet regeneration even with hygroscopic and sticky dusts in waste incineration, chemical, pharmaceutical, and glass industries.
What Are PTFE Filter Bags?
PTFE Filter Bags are needle-punched felt filter bags where the fibre itself is 100% polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), commonly known as Teflon. PTFE fibre is inherently chemically inert and thermally stable, making these bags the material of choice wherever conventional synthetic fibres would be chemically degraded or thermally damaged.
PTFE (Teflon) Filter Bags
Features and Benefits
-
Ultimate Chemical Resistance:
PTFE fibre resists virtually all acids, alkalis, organic and inorganic solvents, and oxidising agents including HF, H₂SO₄, Cl₂, and HNO₃
-
260°C Continuous Service:
Maintains full mechanical strength and filtration efficiency at continuous operating temperatures of 260°C (short-term peaks to 280°C)
-
Non-Stick Surface:
Inherent PTFE non-stick property ensures dust cake drops cleanly from the bag surface with each cleaning pulse
-
Hydrolysis Resistance:
Unlike nylon or polyester, PTFE is completely immune to steam hydrolysis — ideal for wet scrubber outlet gas conditions
-
Low Pressure Drop:
Smooth fibre surface provides lower air resistance at equivalent filtration efficiency, reducing fan energy consumption
-
Sub-Micron Efficiency:
ePTFE membrane lamination option achieves >99.99% efficiency on particles below 1 µm for stringent emission standards
