What Are Dust Collection Bags?
Dust Collection Bags (also called filter bags or baghouse bags) are cylindrical or envelope-shaped fabric elements installed in industrial baghouse dust collectors. Process gas containing suspended dust particles flows through the bag walls, which capture the dust on the outside surface while clean gas passes through the interior and exits to atmosphere. The accumulated dust cake is periodically dislodged by a cleaning mechanism (pulse jet, shaker, or reverse air) and falls into the hopper.
