What Are Oil Adsorbing Filter Cartridges?

Oil Adsorbing Filter Cartridges use hydrophobic and oleophilic (oil-attracting) filter media to selectively capture and retain oil from water streams. Unlike conventional particle filters that capture solid contaminants by size exclusion, oil adsorbing cartridges work by preferential surface attraction — oil molecules are drawn out of the water phase and held within the media structure by surface energy interactions.
