PES (Polyethersulfone) is a highly engineered thermoplastic polymer that can be cast into an asymmetric microporous membrane with precisely controlled pore size ratings. The membrane is naturally hydrophilic — it wets instantly with aqueous solutions without pre-wetting treatment. PES membranes combine high flux, low protein binding, and biocompatibility in a single material.
