Absolute-Rated All-PP Membrane Cartridges for Chemical and Water Filtration
Skytech Ultrafab Polypropylene Pleated Filter Cartridges are manufactured from thermally bonded all-polypropylene membrane and support media in a high-surface-area pleated configuration, providing absolute micron ratings from 0.1 µm to 50 µm with exceptional chemical compatibility and consistent particle retention. Suitable for drinking water, electronics rinse water, pharmaceutical WFI pre-filtration, chemical process, and food and beverage applications. Available in 10-inch to 40-inch lengths, DOE and SOE-222/226 ends, and FDA-compliant extractable-tested materials.
What Are Polypropylene Pleated Filter Cartridges?
Polypropylene pleated filter cartridges use a membrane or depth-type polypropylene filter media folded into a series of pleats and housed within a polypropylene inner core, outer cage, and end caps — with all wetted components being 100% polypropylene. The all-PP construction provides broad chemical compatibility across pH 1 to 14 and resistance to most aqueous and many solvent-based process fluids. The pleated geometry provides significantly more filtration area than wound or melt-blown depth cartridges of the same length, resulting in higher flow rates, lower pressure drop, and longer service life.

Features and Benefits
-
All-Polypropylene Wetted Construction:
Every wetted component — membrane, support layers, core, cage, and end caps — is polypropylene, providing pH 1–14 chemical compatibility and eliminating compatibility questions for most aqueous systems
-
Absolute Micron Ratings:
Pleated PP membrane delivers absolute-rated particle retention from 0.1 µm to 50 µm — consistent, verifiable cut-off performance unlike nominal-rated depth filters
-
High Flow Rate at Low Pressure Drop:
Pleated media area 5–10× greater than equivalent wound or melt-blown cartridges — supporting higher flow rates with significantly lower differential pressure
-
FDA 21 CFR Compliant:
All-PP construction using FDA 21 CFR-listed raw materials — suitable for direct contact with food, beverage, and pharmaceutical process liquids requiring extractable compliance
-
Thermally Bonded Construction:
No adhesives, solvents, or binders used in cartridge assembly — purely thermal bonding throughout eliminates extractable contamination from adhesive components
-
Broad Chemical Compatibility:
Polypropylene resists acids, alkalis, alcohols, and most aqueous chemicals — suitable for chemical process, electroplating, semiconductor rinse water, and pharmaceutical water system applications
