Custom-Fabricated Filter Bags for Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryers
Skytech Ultrafab Nutsche Filter Bags are tailor-made for agitated and static nutsche filter-dryer (ANFD) vessels widely used in pharmaceutical API manufacturing and fine chemicals production. Fabricated from polypropylene, polyester, PTFE, or Halar monofilament woven fabrics, these bags provide precise micron retention down to 2 µm, chemical inertness, and the mechanical strength needed to withstand agitator loads and vacuum/pressure cycles.
What Are Nutsche Filter Bags?
A Nutsche filter (or Agitated Nutsche Filter Dryer — ANFD) is a closed, pressure/vacuum vessel used in pharmaceutical and fine chemical manufacturing to perform filtration, washing, and drying in a single contained unit. The Nutsche filter bag lines the vessel bottom and acts as the filtration medium, retaining the product cake while filtrate is drawn off under vacuum or discharged under pressure. The agitator blade smooths and washes the cake without tearing the filter bag.

Features and Benefits
-
Precise Micron Retention:
Woven monofilament construction achieves micron ratings from 2 µm to 200 µm for retention of fine pharmaceutical API crystals and catalyst particles
-
Agitator-Compatible Construction:
Heavy-duty woven fabric with reinforced seams withstands continuous mechanical loading from the rotating agitator blade without tearing or distortion
-
Chemical Inertness:
PTFE and Halar (ECTFE) monofilament options provide complete chemical inertness in contact with highly potent APIs, corrosive solvents, and concentrated acids
-
Vacuum and Pressure Rated:
Bag construction maintains integrity under vacuum conditions during cake drying and positive pressure during heel transfer operations
-
Cleanroom Fabrication:
Bags fabricated in cleanroom-compatible conditions with full material traceability and cGMP documentation to support pharmaceutical process validation
-
Custom Vessel Fit:
Manufactured to the exact internal diameter and geometry of the ANFD vessel with positive-seal flange or clamp connection at the vessel sidewall
